My sis and I visited one booth every single day. The Vintage Barn (this is linked to the blog, but there is a website too!) and The Rusty Bird shared a booth, actually. Fun, funky, wonderful booth! I adored the burlap and old button-up shirt aprons, and Virgina Shawvers egg and nest creations were just exquisite! This booth was too fun, really. I oh-so-wanted to purchase one of the found paper journals (MUST look at these if ever you have a chance). I settled on a t-shirt (since I just really do not have enough t-shirts already. I like to think of them as one of my collections
) and some of Virginias artwork, which I think my favorite piece might be the itty bitty egg in an itty bitty nest in a vintage silver swan. (I have become quite fond of swans lately
not sure why.)

One fun thing about this booth is that they remembered us each day! With all the people that came through their booth, they remembered a couple of Michigan farm girls! Thank you for that, Rolane & Virginia. I wish that I had taken pictures of this wonderful booth, but you can view some on the blog or on my sis blog (where she wrote a lot more on the booth and how utterly captivated we were). As my sis wrote: I *heart* the Vintage Barn & rusty bird.

Virginia from The Rusty Bird was a DOLL! We chatted with her on Friday and mentioned wed be back again the next day- when we stopped back she remembered us! And again on Sunday! What a sweetie! Her handmade bird nests were way too cute and oh so reasonably priced. I loved how she added little doll plates, huge buttons or small silver trays under her nests to add just an oh-so-elegant, extra touch of whimsy. She even had itty bitty nests with little eggs nestled in spoons!
I wish I had taken more photos of their booth- it was just so, so . . . . MY style! I only have this one- I loved the set up with the chair, books and little bird nest in its homemade cage so I simply asked if I could take a couple of pictures of it.

I have had a bit of fun deciding how to display the bird nests and eggs I purchased . . . . heres a photo of one of my nests on a pedestal plate- my creation (yes, I made the pedestal- neato & cutesy, isnt it!). That little birdie is a candle holder I picked up at Dollar Tree for a buck. I left the tag on the bird nest- Virginia makes her tags out of old sheet music with The Rusty Bird stamped on it- I love the look with it still on the nest- so it stays. I've nestled my itty bitty nest (with itty bitty egg) in an old sundae glass . . . . it looks darling!
